TCS Mexico is looking for a DevOps Lead

Location : Candidate needs to be located or relocate to Querétaro, CDMX, Guadalajara or Monterrey; it will be requested to attend office at least 3 days per week.

Technical skills required :

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations team
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and processes (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
  • Strong understanding of IT service delivery standards, with a focus on enhancing the end-user experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Experience in Amazon AWS Cloud Administration which includes services like : EKS, EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, ELB, AMI, SNS, RDS, IAM, Route 53, Auto scaling, lambda, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Cloud Formation, Security Groups.
  • Experience leveraging Infrastructure as code to deploy solutions (Cloud Formation, Terraform, GitHub, etc).
  • Programming experience on Python is a must
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environment
  • Experience in developing software with KDB+ desirable
  • Experience on Kubernetes (EKS), ECS and Docker containers
  • Experience with container-based deployments using Docker, working with Docker images, Docker Hub and Kubernetes.
  • Automation of infrastructure as code using git, CI / CD pipelines, Terraform

Main responsibilities

  • Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring high availability, and reliability of systems and services.
  • Lead and Manage the identification, escalation, and resolution of issues to ensure minimal impact on business operations.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Act as the point of contact for IT operational matters, ensuring timely communication of issues and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the escalation and resolution of complex technical issues, ensuring a high level of user satisfaction. Provide “hands-on” technical support
  • Coordinate daily schedules of support team
  • Application monitoring
  • Incident & Problem management and Application Development
  • Contributing to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including influencing the overall design and architecture of the application and developing, testing, and deploying the code
  • Interacting with users to understand requirements and integration needs, deploy applications, assist with user configurations, troubleshoot issues, and perform training
  • Periodic reporting and tracking
  • Customer interaction - clarifications with business / end users
  • Analysis, business rules extraction from programs
  • Review of production deliverables
