Job Title : Procurement Operations Manager
The successful candidate will oversee the procurement and inventory management processes, ensuring efficient operations and cost reduction within our production environment. This role reports to Plant Management or General Management and is responsible for scheduling raw materials and managing inventory needs based on production demands.
This role involves key responsibilities including :
- Developing and implementing a systematic approach to supply chain management.
- Determining requirements for production scheduling, purchasing, and storage at minimal costs.
- Maintaining timely communication with suppliers to analyze product characteristics, quality, service conditions, pricing, and payment terms.
- Establishing purchasing procedures and presenting received offers to internal clients with strategic recommendations.
- Participating in testing and controlling samples to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Monitoring delivery timelines and managing item status and receipt.
- Identifying alternative suppliers for better pricing, quality, and delivery conditions.
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting in designing actions to address any deviations.
- Managing activities based on material planning to align with production schedules.
- Ensuring demand aligns with internal and external capacity.
- Maintaining open communication with sales and marketing teams.
- Collaborating with production managers to meet shipping deadlines based on order forecasts.
- Developing strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure capacity meets demand.
- Implementing managed inventory programs to reduce short-term stock.
- Responsible for inventory management to achieve corporate objectives.
- Leading a team of buyers and material planners.
- Evaluating suppliers according to established procedures in collaboration with internal clients.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in English.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.Strong focus on cost reduction and supply chain knowledge.Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, Microsoft Office).Excellent personnel management skills.Results-oriented, proactive, and dynamic.
