We are currently seeking a

Construction Manager

for a client in the chemical industry.

This is an Interim Manager role based in

Mexico

for a duration of

6 months

Overview

Lead and manage all construction activities for a chemical plant project, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Ensure alignment with engineering, procurement, and commissioning timelines, maintain QA / QC and regulatory compliance, supervise on-site operations, manage risks, and provide performance reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all construction activities for a chemical plant construction project in Mexico

Take full ownership of construction planning, including defining project phases, resource allocation, and sequencing of work packages

Develop, monitor, and continuously optimize detailed construction schedules (short- and long-term), aligning with engineering, procurement, and commissioning timelines

Ensure integration of construction plans with overall project execution strategy

Prepare and maintain comprehensive construction documentation, including technical drawings, permitting documentation, and QA / QC protocols

Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to ensure alignment and readiness at each construction stage

Coordinate closely with local suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and smooth project execution

Supervise daily on-site construction operations, enforcing strict safety and quality standards

Proactively identify and resolve technical or administrative issues, managing risks and preventing delays

Provide regular updates, reporting, and performance analysis to senior management and stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the required field.

Required Skills

Extensive experience in construction planning and documentation, specifically within chemical industry construction projects

Proven track record in interim or project-based construction management roles for large industrial projects

Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively among multiple stakeholders

Technical degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred

Spanish – fluent (spoken and written)

English – fluent (spoken and written)

Physical Requirements

Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA Status / Working Schedule
