Overview

We are seeking a motivated Product Application Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You’ll support the Winning New Business process and the industrialization of awarded projects. You’ll collaborate across functions to ensure seamless project execution, acting as the engineering liaison with operations. Your work will contribute to the implementation of engineering standards and business strategies, helping us deliver cutting-edge driveline technologies to our global customers.

As a Product Application Engineer, you will contribute to the drafting and evaluation of engineering standards and specifications. You’ll support project management activities, risk and issue tracking, and feasibility testing of engineering solutions. You’ll collect and analyze data, generate reports, and support product development initiatives. You’ll manage your workflow to meet quality and timeliness standards, while continuously building your technical capabilities through training and coaching.

Responsibilities

Support the Winning New Business process and the industrialization of awarded projects.
Collaborate across functions to ensure seamless project execution and act as engineering liaison with operations.
Contribute to the implementation of engineering standards and business strategies.
Assist with drafting and evaluating engineering standards and specifications.
Support project management activities, risk and issue tracking, and feasibility testing of engineering solutions.
Collect and analyze data, generate reports, and support product development initiatives.
Manage workflow to meet quality and timeliness standards; pursue continuous technical development through training and coaching.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working independently in an engineering role for 1–3 years

Familiarity with change management systems and continuous improvement practices

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across teams

Demonstrated ability to analyze client needs and interpret technical data effectively

Required Qualifications

Experience in Product Application Engineering or similar areas

Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (mandatory)

Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential

Service-oriented attitude and proactive mindset as key competencies

Basic to intermediate knowledge of German is desirable

Ability to work with guidance to implement engineering designs and evaluate outcomes

Proficiency in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks to meet business objectives

Clear and effective verbal communication skills for technical and cross-functional discussions
