Payroll Administrator - Remote (Finance)

Process payroll for multiple legal entities in Mexico, covering both unionized and salaried employees.Ensure payroll calculations comply with union agreements, local labor laws, and applicable benefits.Lead initiatives to improve and automate payroll processes, leveraging technology and innovative solutions.Guarantee timely payments to government institutions such as IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, and payroll tax authorities.Coordinate payments to external payroll vendors.Validate retirement calculations and ensure accuracy.Respond to audits, reviews, and inquiries from labor authorities including REPSE, IMSS, STPS, SAT, INFONAVIT, and FONACOT.Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide timely support to employees.Support account reconciliations, audit documentation, and month-end closing activities.Bachelor's degree in Accounting.~+3 years of experience processing payroll in Mexico, including unionized environments.~ Strong understanding of labor and tax regulations, with the ability to interpret complex legal information.~ Experience in month-end closing, account reconciliations, and payroll integration.~ Intermediate proficiency in English (spoken and written).~ High level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive employee data.~ Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and data processing tools.~ Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with experience or interest in automation tools and digital transformation.~ Familiarity with Workday, ServiceNow, or other ERP systems for payroll management.
