Warehouse Operations Manager
This role is focused on leading the daily logistics and warehouse operations for North America, driving continuous improvement across critical functions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory control, personnel management, shipping, and logistics, as well as knowledge of quality systems such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily freight of finished goods to customers.
- Communicate with carriers, prepare shipments, and control freight costs.
- Align shipping schedules and deliveries with the Customer Service department.
- Issue inbound and outbound product movements as required.
- Generate shipping documentation according to sales procedures.
- Continuously review and develop procedures and reports to support departmental goals and daily activities.
- Participate in cost-reduction and continuous improvement activities.
- Lead process improvements in shipping, warehouse, and raw material receiving areas.
- Maintain the highest inventory accuracy levels through cycle counts.
- Ensure products are shipped to customers on time.
- Supervise raw material and equipment shipments to the Acuña plant.
- Conduct warehouse, shipping, and receiving process audits.
- Train supervisors across required areas and ensure cascading training to their teams.
- Oversee warehouse, receiving, shipping, and inventory control processes, as well as production support activities.
- Support and comply with Quality Management Systems (IATF and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 / ISO requirements.
- Ensure process-based management using PDCA methodology and risk analysis, documenting evidence for audit compliance.
- Identify environmental aspects across the lifecycle of operations, from inputs to outputs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, personnel management, shipping, and logistics.Experience in customs and traffic operations.Experience in the automotive industry.Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 quality systems.Bilingual (Spanish / English).Proficient in computer applications.Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.Preferred Qualifications
