Cloud Platform Engineer for Digital Transformation

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and implementing the future state services platform using industry best practices and emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP, and be well-versed in software development principles, including Agile methodologies.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to design and implement enhancements to the compute platform capabilities, enabling teams to build and iterate applications effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or SRE roles using object-oriented languages (Python, Golang, etc).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes in public cloud environments (GKE, EKS, AKS, etc.).
• Experience with Istio / Service Mesh.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, etc).
• Background working within public cloud environment GCP.
• Familiarity with CI / CD tools such as Argo, Buildkite, TravisCI, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Fluentbit, Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, Kibana, Elastic Search, Splunk, Pagerduty, etc.).
• Strong networking knowledge.
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Analytical mindset and passion for solving business problems with technology.
