Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple partners across the bank including the various product structuring and trading teams, to bring appropriate product to our clients
  • Proven track record in servicing various retail clients, and good knowledge and understanding of all of the retail segments and products
  • The role requires an analytical and proactive approach to client management and effort to improve the current Citi platform
  • Proactively reaching out to current and potential broker dealer clients to provide product ideas, improve existing client services and onboard new clients
  • Continued development of the platform to improve the client experience
  • Working with the entire 3rd party team on servicing our Platinum and Priority Clients to ensure we are meeting targets
  • Interaction with the Client Management team to develop proper wallet data for our client base
  • Be part of a highly motivated team and will be the key person responsible for expanding the client base
  • Direct client coverage, and management of Retail Sales business
  • Responsible for the distribution of all Global Markets’ products to 3rd party retail client segments by developing and executing an effective sales strategy and partnership
  • Identify and capture key clients and opportunities, expand client reach and deepen client relationships, build an effective sales team and partnership, and meaningfully grow Citi’s retail franchise
  • Solid client franchise, especially in the areas untapped by Citi, to increase our client reach, and have an established senior client relationships that can be leveraged
  • Work with product and technology partners to enhance Retail platform and deliver more efficient and competitive product offering, solutions, and experience to clients
  • Partner with control functions and business management to ensure effective and comprehensive sales processes and supervision
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Apropriately assess risk / reward of transactions when making business decisions; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same
  • Apropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years' managerial experience
  • Finance, business, economic or mathematical degree discipline would be advantageous
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Good knowledge of equity derivatives products and the market place
  • Mathematical knowledge of structured products highly desirable
  • Client development, from acquisition to ownership
  • Ability to understand complex issues and present them in a simple way
  • Advanced negotiation / persuasion skills
  • Prioritisation and Time Management
  • Ability to manage multiple demands
  • Demonstrated track record of managing client relationships and consistently generating revenue
  • Drive to identify and drive new product and client opportunities
  • Good understanding of the retail competitive landscape
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, and quantitative skills
  • Experience with derivative pricing and model experience
  • Self-motivated, innovative, results-oriented individual
  • Time management / prioritization skills and solid judgment
  • Outstanding attention to detail and follow-up
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s / University degree, Master’s degree preferred; managerial experience
