Schedule Monday to Friday 8 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm EST Occasional Saturdays or overtime as needed

🚀 About the Role
We're looking for an Applications Engineer with a strong mechanical engineering background who can design and estimate HVAC and mechanical systems for complex projects. This role blends engineering design work with customer-facing coordination—turning project requirements into accurate, engineered proposals that meet performance, cost, and quality expectations.
You will work with systems such as chiller plants, boiler plants, mechanical penthouses, and central utility plants. Your work involves evaluating customer designs, performing technical calculations, selecting system components, preparing proposal packages, and providing engineering insight throughout the process.
🔑 Core Responsibilities
Engineering & Design
- Design and estimate HVAC systems, including chilled water, heating hot water, condenser water, natural gas, and compressed air.
- Select system components to ensure compliance with performance and engineering standards.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical documents to evaluate feasibility and requirements.
- Prepare engineered proposal packages, including inclusions, exclusions, and supporting documentation.
- Recommend design modifications to improve performance or reduce cost.
Technical Support & Collaboration
Communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to clarify scope and technical needs.Provide technical insights and troubleshooting support as needed.Investigate equipment issues, identify root causes, and suggest improvements for future designs.Maintain accuracy and quality across multiple active projects while meeting deadlines.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, HVAC design, or system estimating.Proficiency with MS Office and engineering documentation.Experience with AutoCAD or Solidworks (preferred).Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret and analyze complex engineering data.Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and technical teams.High attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
