POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Electrical Design Engineer will develop electrical design HDLC units such as Inrow CDU and Inrack CDU as well as 2 phase products. He / she will closely follow objectives of quality, environment and costs working in cooperation with manufacturing engineering, controls engineering, procurement, suppliers, mechanical engineering, and product marketing.
  • The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the release of new products; will work in a cross-functional development group; manage a variety of tasks and activities in a dynamic environment; and solve complex problems where no precedence exists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design new and low voltage electrical enclosures (>
  • 240 volts AC).

  • Harness Design, schematic creation and 3D modeling of wiring and cabling inside equipment.
  • Experience with CREO Cabling module is preferred.
  • Selection of appropriate electrical components that meet agency requirements (UL, NEC, CSA, CE)
  • Collaborates with other groups, including Mech Engineers, firmware & software developers, system test, customer support, and manufacturing.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8 years of experience in hardware development roles.
  • More than ten years of expertise with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or product documentation management systems.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting functional requirements and preparing design documentation.
  • Skilled in using Creo Schematics or equivalent schematic capture software.
  • Hands-on experience operating DMMs, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic instruments.
  • Capable of executing project schedules throughout hardware board development lifecycles.
  • Adept at debugging, validation, and supporting manufacturing test processes.
  • Proven ability in designing for testability and manufacturability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.
  • Reliable team members exhibit a consistently positive attitude and creativity.
