Description

This position develops and implements standards for telecommunication infrastructure (Optic fiber, Energy, VHF, structured cabling, regulatory compliance) in ongoing and new projects, and effectively guide the individuals involved to achieve the goals / milestones set by the Project Manager.

Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Solves a range of moderately complex problems. Leads projects of limited scope and portions of larger projects. Provides informal guidance to team members with less experience. Contributes to department objectives and outcomes as guided.

Accountabilities

• Consultancy on norms   regarding voice and data networks. Includes but not limited to : structured cabling, Optic Fiber, Energy, VHF, rack distribution.
• Advice on energy quality standards for powering AC / DC equipment, emergency power system, Solar Energy.
• Handling of diagnostic equipment and fault location in the different means of communication.
• Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers and stakeholders.
