Overview
Amazon Fulfillment Mexico is seeking a full-time Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to serve as a designated safety representative for Fulfillment Center, coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Safety Program as directed by safety leadership. The WHS Manager promotes a positive safety culture while complying with Amazon safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to regional management teams and corporate-based reporting systems.Support management's efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal and state laws. Conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions.Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly audits.Facilitate incident investigation processMaintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and STPS regulationsEnter Safety Incident Information in internal database in a timely mannerPerform safety observations and auditsTrain and assist others (Area Managers, safety team members, etc.) to complete their safety responsibilities (Audits, Follow Safety Rules, etc.)Perform specific safety training as required by the Safety ManagerMay have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety-related activities depending on the business unit and locationParticipate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completionCommunicate health and safety needs to all levels of the organizationBasic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree5+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphicsKnowledge of STPS, CIVIL PROTECTION, SEMARNAT and SCT regulations specifically those related to Environmental, Health and Safety in MexicoSpanish and English AdvancedPreferred Qualifications
