Job Summary
In the “Lean & Quality” Department, the Lean 6 Sigma Black belt leads, manages and supports projects related to process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma and project management methodologies to achieve business goals. Lead project teams to deliver complex business, integration, implementation projects, and continuous improvement / lean efforts.
Responsibilities
- Apply program and project management principles to manage scope, timeline, resources and risk throughout the lifecycle of strategic initiatives.
- Independently lead process improvement projects across the (3) Campus facilities, coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Employ Six Sigma methodology & Lean initiatives to identify improvement opportunities, implement and control process improvements to meet business goals and objectives.
- Identify improvement opportunities in the areas of Operational efficiency, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and others including supporting systems and tools.
- Identify, lead, manages and control OIA Projects to drive cost savings throughout the Campus.
- Develop detailed business cases, communicate and present monthly to senior leadership and stakeholders on the opportunities, recommendations and implementation plan.
- In addition to technical skills, the 6 Sigma Black Belt needs to demonstrate strong team leadership competencies.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related to the fieldExpert Six Sigma Black Belt or Project ManagementKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office 365.English AdvancedPossess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Skills
Six Sigma Methodology – Knowledge of DMAIC methodology and ability to use it to improve manufacturing processes and control improvements by eliminating root causes.Analytical Thinking – Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis, ability to determine root cause and create alternative solutions.Project Management – Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics, ability to plan, organize, monitor, control projects.Influencing – Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies, ability to impact decisions and engage cross‑functional team.Top Candidates Also Have – Certification in 6 Sigma Black Belt, excellent oral and written communication skills, advanced knowledge in MS Office 365 digital tools, good business understanding.Additional Information
