What You’ll Do
As a radio spectrum engineering technical leader, you will be a key member of the team responsible for promoting a healthy ecosystem for Cisco’s wireless products by supporting global harmonization of spectrum policy with a particular focus on the South American market.
You will be responsible for developing and presenting technical inputs to regulatory forums and to the regulatory advisory groups within standard bodies, (e.g. IEEE , ETSI BRAN, ECC SE 45, Inter-America Telecommunication Commission (CITEL), various study groups and working parties of the ITU-R SG5 WPs) as well as engaging directly with regulators. The successful candidate will also be expected, when necessary, to represent Cisco at various industry bodies, forums, and conferences (e.g. Wi-Fi Alliance, Wireless Broadband Alliance, Dynamic Spectrum Alliance, etc.)
This position requires an industry veteran with deep knowledge of both international spectrum regulation and wireless standards as well as previous experience in dealing with regulators, regulatory issues, and their associated national processes in North and South America.
