ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Full Stack Developer , you’ll play a key role in modernizing a high-impact geospatial platform by helping transition from ArcGIS to an open-source stack. During this 3-month project, you’ll build end-to-end solutions that empower users with actionable environmental insights, while collaborating closely across backend and frontend teams to shape scalable, data-driven features.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Work on a 3-month project
• Build and maintain frontend features for a geospatial platform using a modern JavaScript / TypeScript framework (React)
• Integrate complex REST APIs serving geospatial data, including GeoJSON features, map tiles, and image PNGs
• Swap and configure basemap tile providers, such as OpenMapTiles, Mapbox, or Esri
• Implement complete features including user authentication, data upload, and client-side state management for map interactions
• Collaborate with the backend team on geospatial concepts such as BBOX, vector features, raster tiles, and projections
