Your New Role
Post Operations International (POI) prepares material for languaging and playout in our international regions by ensuring the materials include all elements needed for international reversionsing, and then facilitating edits for the programs based on regional clocks and cultural sensitivities. In addition, POI provides regional fulfillment support as add’l. program materials are needed for reversioning / other global platforms.
The Project Manager position works within the POI team to create edit instructions and manage post-edit jobs in support of the program & compliance editing process for all brands and platforms within the Warner Bros. Discovery International portfolio.
Your Role Accountabilities
OPERATIONS / PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Manage broadcast and digital quality cut-to-clock (CTC) and compliance editing projects for WBD Int’l. Act as facilitator between Post Ops Intern ational, regional partners and the Post Production editing team.
- Work with regional partners & edit team regarding editing prioritization. Adapt to changing schedules, deadlines, and assignments by being flexible with respect to available resources.
- Perform database entry / management including, but not limited to, entering source media details, session information & editing instructions into billing and workload management systems. (e.g. Xytec, MediaFlex and other relevant databases).
- Responsible for trouble‑shooting edited programs with issues in areas including editing, audio, graphics, duplication, and quality control.
- Monitor the edit process and identify problems and quality control issues throughout. Help suggest possible solutions for project‑specific and facility‑related problems.
- Communicate project status, changes and issues to regional partners on a regular basis, and with an appropriate level of urgency and follow‑through.
- Consult with regional teams, as directed, regarding editorial and creative requirements in relation to program editing. Direct them to the highest‑quality and most cost‑effective available methods, equipment and staff.
- Assist editors, when needed, in all phases of the program editing process.
- Assist Post‑Ops International on various tasks, research / analysis and special projects as needed or assigned.
- This position is considered an essential position. This means that during times of inclement weather, emergencies, or when access to the workplace may be impeded, that employees in this position are expected to report to work to support business continuance, unless otherwise instructed by his / her direct manager.
Qualifications & Experiences
Proficiency in Business Speaking EnglishWork experience within the media / tech industry required.3-5 years’ experience with post production, broadcast operations, and / or log operations highly preferred.Bachelor’s degree in communications, television, film, media, logistics, or operations highly preferred.Solid technical background with knowledge and understanding of multiple media platforms.Strong working knowledge of post‑production environment, standards, and equipment preferred.Strong work ethic and positive attitude with ability to lead and handle high volume projects and tasks.Superior organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to respond to changing priorities, timelines, and deadlines.Self‑learner, independent, with outstanding problem‑solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize effectively.Experience with Microsoft Suite to include : Word, Excel, Outlook etc., & comparable systemsIf internal candidate, experience using WBDs Internal Systems (i.e. MediaFlex, DEAL) highly preferred.How We Get Things Done…
