Join Zillow as a Senior ServiceNow Developer and become a pivotal part of our mission to build innovative productivity solutions for our employees. In this role, you'll leverage your deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable solutions. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and senior leaders to understand business needs and translate them into effective ServiceNow applications.

As a key member of the Enterprise Applications Engineering team, you will be responsible for the performance, quality, and responsiveness of our ServiceNow applications. This includes establishing design principles, architectural standards, and best practices within the ServiceNow ecosystem, while upholding high standards for cloud security and data privacy. You'll work with cross-functional teams to enhance employee productivity and effectiveness by delivering elegant and efficient ServiceNow solutions. Your contributions will be critical in driving the evolution of our internal tools and supporting the overall success of Zillow.

About the role

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex ServiceNow applications and modules, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for the ServiceNow platform, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
• Design and implement robust integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST / SOAP APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our ServiceNow development processes, including advocating for and implementing DevOps principles, CI / CD pipelines, and cloud technologies.
• Monitor and analyze ServiceNow performance, utilizing ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Reporting to identify trends and optimize system efficiency.
• Participate actively in Agile / Scrum ceremonies, providing technical insights and estimates, and ensuring timely delivery of features.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Stay current with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and industry trends.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and propel ongoing improvement initiatives, guaranteeing Zillow maintains a top-tier technology infrastructure
• Constructively negotiate trade-off discussions with other senior leaders, articulating pros and cons while providing options and recommendations that align with Zillow's goals and values
• Strong commitment to operational excellence, constantly striving to uncover the underlying causes of problems, using data to guide your decision-making, and fostering a culture of ongoing improvement
• Establish strong connections with key individuals in the Product, People, Technology and Engineering organizations, serving as a reliable consultant who can provide guidance, anticipate challenges, and find innovative solutions for business issues

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.
