About Pavago :

Pavago is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant - Construction to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with Construction Accounting, Job Costing, Project Based Accounting, specifically in multi-family apartment construction , and previous construction accounting experience at a U.S.-based company .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Full-Cycle Accounting : Handle journal entries, payroll, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
  • Sage Intaact Management : Manage financial data from multiple sources and ensure accurate input into Sage Intaact. Must be able to quickly learn new financial systems.
  • Construction Accounting : Oversee construction job costing and project-based accounting for multi-family apartment construction.
  • Financial Analysis : Conduct financial analysis, evaluate financial performance, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Excel Proficiency : Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modelling, reporting, and data management.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking : Identify financial discrepancies, analyze complex financial data, and implement corrective actions.
  • Communication & Coordination : Effectively communicate financial issues and deadlines to team members and management, ensuring employees complete Fyle transactions in a timely manner.
  • Detail-Oriented Approach : Maintain accuracy in financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.

What Makes You a Perfect Candidate?

  • Construction Accounting Expertise : Strong to a very strong background in full-cycle accounting, including payroll, accounts reconciliation, and financial reporting in a construction company.
  • Financial Analysis & Problem-Solving : Strong analytical thinking and financial evaluation skills to drive sound decision-making.
  • Excel & Data Management : Proficiency in Excel for financial reporting, modelling, and reconciliation.
  • Sage Intacct Management : Oversee financial data integration from multiple sources, ensuring accurate entry into Sage Intacct. Must be able to adapt quickly to new financial systems.
  • Strong Communication Skills : Ability to clearly communicate financial issues and deadlines while ensuring compliance with financial processes.
  • Detail-Oriented & Reliable : Precision in financial reporting and a structured approach to problem-solving.

    • Required Experience & Skills :

  • Experience : 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling roles and experience working with financial platforms and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge : Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation.
  • Software : Advanced proficiency in Sage Intacct.
  • Financial Understanding : Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Internet : Reliable internet connection for seamless remote work.

    • What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

    Your day will involve managing financial transactions, overseeing Sage Intacct operations, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and preparing financial statements. You will work on month-end closing, analyze financial reports, and provide strategic recommendations to improve financial efficiency. Additionally, you’ll ensure employees complete transactions in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail and data accuracy.
