Job Description

Levi Strauss & Co. is hiring for its Digital and Technology Engineering team. You will develop user-facing applications to enhance the DTC experience. This full stack engineering role requires expertise in front end, backend, and DevOps engineering, with the flexibility to work hands-on or manage projects with external vendors. You are technically experienced, adaptable, and experienced in delivering high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end Retail apps, Microservices, and other services using public Cloud (GCP / AWS / Azure), applying Object-Oriented Design principles, algorithms, data structures, DBMS / SQL, and best Software Engineering practices.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of requirements and technical environments to provide high-quality solutions.
  • Manage team members and collaborate with Business and IT leadership.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, approach, and architecture. Contribute to best practices and reusable solutions repository.
  • Drive automated / self-service solutions to reduce incident resolution times.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and thoroughly test solutions to ensure adherence to standards and requirements.
  • Familiar with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with at least 5+ years in Full Stack Development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

    • Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, React JS / Angular JS, Golang, GraphQL, microservices architecture, and React Native / mobile experience.
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud-based applications, preferably on GCP / AWS.
  • Experience with web services, REST APIs, event-driven design, and API management platforms.
  • Hands-on with DevOps practices, CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub), and automation.
  • Proficient with Kubernetes / Dockers, serverless, messaging platforms, and cloud integration.
  • Experience with test-driven development, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
  • Hands-on with RDBMS and NoSQL databases like Postgres and Redis.
  • Knowledge of security principles, authentication, and encryption in microservices / cloud environments.
