This position has responsibility for managing the various absence programs at WTW which includes short term disability, long term disability, the Family Medical Leave Act, Paid Family Leave, Mandated Paid Leave, Paid Time Off (PTO) and state / local leave plans.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Coordinate numerous components of the various absence programs and serve as the contact for the impacted colleague, the disability vendor, and other stakeholder groups
- Communicate complex details in an understandable manner to colleagues
- Ensure absence programs are administered consistently
- Manage the ongoing administration of the PTO program including responding to colleague inquiries providing a high level of customer service orientation
- Work on special projects as required
- Respond to any errors in payroll by reviewing past records and making any wage corrections or adjustments when necessary
- Track employee absences for leaves of absence
- Answer employee questions about payroll and leave entitlements and / or balances
- Evaluate the accuracy of timesheets submitted for leaves of absence / verify timesheet records and consult colleagues about any discrepancies
- Perform data audits, report results, and follow up actions such as corrective and preventative actions
