The role will require a strong focus on key aspects of the business, including the development of long-term strategies to support TE's growth and manufacturing footprint, make vs. buy decisions, regional supplier segmentation, enterprise productivity, supplier development in key growth areas, process improvement, and quality optimization.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a strategic plan for the Stamping category that aligns with the company's overall vision and goalsDetermine the most appropriate Make vs. Buy strategy for the Stamping category and implement it in collaboration with TE's Segments, Business Units, and cross-functional teamsLead the long-term strategy for the Stamping category and oversee its implementation, including identifying new opportunities for growth and expansionSegment suppliers based on regional needs and collaborate with business units, to develop and implement supplier development plansOptimize the manufacturing footprint for the Stamping category to ensure the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfactionImplement enterprise productivity initiatives across the Stamping category to drive cost savings and improve overall performanceDevelop supplier relationships in key growth areas and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier alignment with the company's strategic objectivesDrive process improvement and quality optimization initiatives across the Stamping category to ensure the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfactionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies that deliver the best value for the company and our customersQualificationsWhat your background should look like : Bachelor's degree, Engineering preferred (MBA is a plus)Minimum of 10 years of experience in Procurement, Engineering and / or Operations and at least 5 years as Manager.Knowledge of the Stamping Commodity : In-depth understanding of the Stamping processes, techniques, and materials used in the industry.

This knowledge will enable you to make informed decisions while sourcing materials and selecting suppliersTechnical expertise : You should be familiar with the technical aspects of the Stamping industry, such as tooling, process control, and quality assurance, to effectively communicate with suppliers and understand their capabilitiesMarket Intelligence : Good understanding of the industry trends, market dynamics, and supplier landscape.
