About the Role

At Trelleborg Sealing Solutions México , we’re looking for an Application Engineer to join our technical sales team and support our continued growth in the automotive and industrial segments. You’ll play a key role in connecting our customers’ technical needs with our product capabilities, supporting both our commercial and engineering activities across Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers and the sales team for sealing applications in automotive and industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring accurate material selection and technical recommendations.
  • Support material validation processes and product approvals with customers and suppliers.
  • Conduct customer visits (approx. 30%) to review applications, collect data, and provide on-site technical feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, production, and global support teams for technical negotiations and issue resolution.
  • Manage documentation, quotations, and workflow through JD Edwards and internal systems.
  • Assist in cost and feasibility studies, including tooling and manufacturing process reviews.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and technical training sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).
  • 2–3 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or process / manufacturing engineering in the automotive and general industry.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, material behavior (rubber, plastics, or metals), and component validation.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to interface with customers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in English (intermediate to advanced).
  • Experience using JD Edwards or similar ERP systems (preferred).
  • Availability for occasional travel.
