Senior Analyst, Real-time Payments Platform Engineering & Operations Job Summary

Senior Analyst, Real-time Payments Platform Engineering & Operations leads a team responsible for the comprehensive lifecycle management of Mastercard’s mission‑critical on‑premise real‑time payment technology environments (e.g., SPEI). This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, operational management, and people leadership to ensure optimal performance, security, availability, and efficiency of these complex payment platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages the building and maintaining of Mastercard’s on‑prem real‑time payment technology environments (SPEI), including associated software products
• Resolves chronic complex problems, providing managerial operational support to maintain systems and platforms
• Monitors performance to identify areas of concern and participates in the planning and implementation of updates to optimize performance
• Assists with process improvement efforts to identify and test opportunities for automation and / or reduction in time to deployment
• Assesses Mastercard’s security to ensure effective safeguard processes are in place and operational platforms are running effectively for hosted production systems
• Performs lifecycle management for supported hardware platforms, including technical refresh planning and capacity upgrades
• Participates in the planning and implementation of system / platform updates to optimize performance, efficiency, and capacity
• Performs holistic platform security posture which includes identifying risks, escalating potential concerns, and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions
• Completes status reports, troubleshooting guides, and project plans to provide in‑depth technical assistance to development programmers and customers
• May perform financial planning, forecasting, and budget tracking to reduce total cost of ownership and allocate resources efficiently
• Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, mentors and coaches top talent within own team
