Role Summary
The Hybrid Integration Platform (HIP) Specialist role is responsible for leading activities related to middleware planning, design and development. This role develops and maintains specialist knowledge of middleware concepts, architectures, software and facilities. They also analyze requirements and evaluate potential solutions, installing and commissioning selected products. HIP Specialists have the responsibility to automate manual activities providing self‑service solutions to developers following the DevOps best practices, maintaining all HSBC security standards, having interaction with vendors and the global engineering team. HIP Specialists provide troubleshooting in production support, such as in projects, finding root cause and performing a proactive participation.
