About the role
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality in compliance with engineering specifications, as well as controlling manufacturing process parameters that directly impact product quality. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational excellence, resolving customer issues, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the resolution of customer complaints related to manufacturing processes through proper execution of the 8D methodology, including 24-hour containment actions and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure the implementation and monitoring of SPC, including calculation, reporting, and tracking of CPK indices.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and production teams to improve processes and increase CPK levels.
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability for process monitoring and decision-making.
• Develop and implement MSA and identify improvement opportunities in measurement systems.
• Propose and implement poka-yoke solutions to improve detection and reduce occurrence in PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Eliminate potential failure modes through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own and manage key quality KPIs such as RTY, FPY, Scrap, Non-conforming product, Rework, and Line Stops.
• Supervise quality auditors and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Train and develop operational personnel to meet quality standards and ensure proper feedback from production lines.
• Maintain and sustain quality controls, standard work, control plans, checklists, and visual aids across production lines.
• Perform structured problem-solving, ensuring strong root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective actions.
• Document quality processes and develop training systems to support team capability building.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are proactive, analytical, results-oriented, and committed to quality and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
• Experience with Six Sigma methodologies
• Strong knowledge of Core Tools (SPC, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, APQP, PPAP)
• Experience in manufacturing processes
• Intermediate English level
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality
• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
• Experience leading teams or supervising quality personnel
• Knowledge of statistics and Minitab
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills
