Responsible for all sheet metal shop activities supporting the plant, manages sheet metalpersonnel to provide excellent service to all departments with minimal downtime of production equipment.

• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas working continuously to improve, takes ownership of the maintenance processes
• Improves working conditions, safety, quality, productivity, cost, and increases subordinates’ skill capabilities through job development, coaching, and training
• Studies maintenance schedules estimating hour requirements for completion of job assignment
• Drives departmental performance utilizing tools such as Lean, Root Cause analysis, and 5S
• Interprets company policies and safety regulations to workers ensuring compliance
• Interprets specifications, technical data, job orders to workers, and assigns duties
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet maintenance schedules
• Supports and guides personnel in the building of parts and tools
• Recommends measures to improve equipment performance, and quality of product
• Suggests changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency of plant
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
• Addresses procedural problems by researching root cause, recommending solutions, and providing on the job training to subordinates
• Insures that team members have proper resources and training to perform their jobs
• Maintains and utilizes time and maintenance records
• Provides timely performance reviews to subordinates, constructive feedback, and coaching to improve skills and performance
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments to ensure preventive maintenance and repairs result in minimal downtime
• Represents management with leadership ability to gain trust and support of team members
• Monitors inspects, and insures sheet metal shop is maintained in clean, neat, and organized condition5 Key Points
• 3+ years of firsthand experience operating one or more of the following machines : Trumpf TruLaser 2030 fiber laser cutter (or similar)oCincinatti 175AF Press Brake (or similar)
• 5+ years of experience as a sheet metal supervisor or lead in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of bakery manufacturing industry preferred.
• Must be mechanically oriented, have experience in troubleshooting operational problems, and machinery malfunctions.
• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide both fractions and decimals, solve equations, read measurements. Use formulas to calculate and analyze data.
• Must have the ability to read, understand, and communicate to others the meaning of blueprints
