Purpose
The Senior Financial Accountant supports the Regional and Global Finance teams with financial reporting, analysis, planning, and process improvements. The role involves preparing accurate monthly financial statements, analyzing variances, and ensuring timely reporting for management review.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly financial close, including review, posting, reconciliations, and commentary.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Coordinate with Operations Finance and project managers on project status, billing, and cash receipts.
- Prepare and review bi-weekly cash forecasts.
- Review revenue recognition monthly to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure timely payment runs to vendors.
- Act as a point of contact for financial control issues.
- Manage statutory and compliance returns, audits, and tax filings.
- Maintain budget data and report performance against budgets.
- Provide ad hoc financial planning and advice.
- Cross-train on accounting processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) required.Minimum of 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.Experience with financial reporting, general ledger, and audits.Knowledge of GAAP.Up-to-date travel documents.Basic knowledge of expense systems (SAP Concur or similar).Basic knowledge of reporting tools (Jet Reports, Power BI).Intermediate ERP system knowledge (Microsoft Navision, SAP).Advanced Microsoft Office skills.Skills
