- The Role
- Aspen Technology is seeking a Software Quality Engineer I to join our growing Product Quality Team, focusing on functional and non-functional testing, including performance and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of software development practices and hands-on experience writing code, particularly in C#, for automation testing. Responsibilities include designing and implementing test strategies, developing automated test scripts, conducting performance and scalability testing, and collaborating with R&D and Product Management to drive quality best practices throughout the development lifecycle.##
- Your Impact
- Create test procedures and objectives (including test environments, installation, upgrades, and configuration) in accordance with the technical specs.
- Perform requirements analysis, design of test strategy and test cases, execution of manual regression testing and defect reporting.
- Create automated scripts for API, UI, System, Integration, performance benchmarking and scalability.
- Maintain and execute test automation including UI, API, backend using Python, C#, UFT and other tools.
- Develop, maintain and execute performance scalability and stress testing Engage with cross functional teams on project updates, review outcome and performance analysis.
- Ensure effective bi-directional communications between US and Mexico development teams.## What You'll Need
- BS in Engineering with Computer Science, Chemical Engineering or Equivalent major required.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in validating software testing projects.
- Ability to create automated scripts for WPF and Web applications.
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript.
- Experience with Azure DevOps is desirable.
- Working experience with test automation, performance, databases (MySQL, Oracle), and test automation frameworks are desirable.
- Strong understanding of automation testing best practices.
- Experience in & knowledgeable of software development methodologies cycle (Agile, Scrum) is a plus.
- Good understanding of different deployment infrastructures and virtualization technologies is a plus.
- Experience with a source control system (Git).
- Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs, including testing and validation using Postman.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, writing and presentation skills are required.#LI-AD1
