Job Summary

FORVIA HELLA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to participate in the development of software for our next-generation Power Distribution Unit (PDU). This role is critical to the success of our intelligent Power Distribution Module (iPDM) programs, which feature eFuse technology, fail‑operational power supply, and zone‑based architectures.

YOUR TASKS

• Drive the design, development, and testing of embedded software for PDU systems across the full product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain real‑time embedded software using C for microcontrollers (16 / 32‑bit).
• Implement model‑based development using tools like MATLAB / Simulink and dSPACE TargetLink.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate eFuse technology and ensure robust power management.
• Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, and CAN bus protocols.
• Conduct software architecture design, code reviews, and unit testing.
• Analyze system requirements and translate them into software specifications.
• Support diagnostics, data acquisition, and fail‑operational mechanisms for safety‑critical functions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
• Interface with cross‑functional teams including hardware, systems, and validation engineers.
