Opening in early 2027, Omni Hotels & Resorts has officially broken ground and construction is well underway on Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita, the brand's first luxury resort in Mexico. Staying true to the brand's mission of creating elevated places and spaces that are inspired by a destination, the resort's exterior and interiors will pay homage to the local culture with a contemporary twist.

This beachfront resort will feature 244 guest rooms and suites and two 4‐bedroom villas with sweeping views of the Bay of Banderas. Complementing the local area's many attractions and activities, the resort will offer three original restaurant concepts, a destination spa with 14 treatment rooms, two retail shops, multiple pools including adult‐only and family‐friendly options, a state‐of‐the‐art indoor and outdoor fitness center, and a kids club. Boasting over 27,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the Omni Pontoque will feature a 6,000 square foot ballroom, an open‐air pavilion, multiple event lawns and dedicated meeting rooms, all of which provide breathtaking ocean views.

In early 2027, Omni Hotels & Resorts will debut its first owned and managed property in Mexico : the Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita — a sanctuary of oceanfront beauty that will set a new benchmark for ultra‐luxury hospitality in the region. This extraordinary resort marks Omni's arrival into the elite tier of international luxury resorts, where personalized service, world‐class dining, and transformative experiences define every stay.

With 240 elegantly appointed guestrooms, 42 expansive suites, and two private villas — each with sweeping Pacific views — the resort invites guests into a realm of effortless sophistication. From jungle‐framed treatment rooms in the full‐service spa to three infinity‐edge pools overlooking the ocean, every detail inspires serenity and connection. Guests will savor regionally inspired cuisine at three signature restaurants and celebrate life's milestones in 27,000 square feet of indoor and open‐air event space designed for destination weddings, executive retreats, and high‐profile gatherings.

The Director of Engineering is responsible for ensuring proper training and supervision of all Engineering personnel and to provide consistent, cost‐effective maintenance programs that ensure the property's safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and operate all R&M & Utility expenses in an economical, legal, and safe manner.
• Managing Birchstreet for all R&M expenses, participate in all month‐end financial process and forecasting.
• Supervise a comprehensive maintenance and preventive maintenance program for public spaces, guestrooms and equipment. All work request and preventive maintenance to be managed in Synergy.
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain general conditions and adhere to safety, health standards and legal requirements set forth by hotel policy.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and discipline engineering associates in coordination with the Director of Associate Services.
• Recommend capital budget projects, obtain bids, and oversee contractors for project execution. Manage special permits and licenses as required.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of work by external vendors and contractors.
• Maintain own and resort's special permits and licenses as required by local, state and federal authorities.
• Control schedules, staffing, and payroll for the Engineering team. Maintain personnel records, utility logs, and engineering records.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and / or cost‐savings.
• Responsible for scheduling and facilitating monthly department meetings.
• Effectively coach and counsel associates as needed and complete performance evaluations.
• Attend all company required training.
• Champion the Omni / Power of One / Power of Engagement culture.
