About our client :
Our client is a New York-based wholesale apparel company specializing in licensed products. They’re known for delivering innovative, high-quality apparel tied to top global brands.
Position Summary
We need someone with direct experience in royalties, licensing, and brand management—specifically in the apparel industry. If you've worked with licensing contracts, managed royalty reports, or been involved with brand compliance, this is your role.
You don’t need to be an accountant, but you do need to be analytical and experienced with interpreting royalty agreements, financial data, and forecasting trends based on sales performance.
Qualifications & Hard Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal, Finance, Licensing, Administrative or related field.
2-3 years of experience working with royalties or licensing in the apparel or consumer goods industry (MUST).
Strong grasp of how licensing models work, especially in branded apparel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail—must be able to work with large datasets.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
Ability to read and interpret contractual / legal terms.
Prior experience with sales reporting tools, Hubstaff, and Teams is a plus.
Responsibilities
Review and interpret licensing agreements for key royalty terms (e.g., royalty rates, recoupment clauses, reporting deadlines, usage restrictions).
Analyze, prepare, and submit royalty reports to licensors and clients—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with contract terms.
Serve as the main point of contact for royalty-related inquiries from clients and licensors; provide clarifications, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on expectations.
Collaborate with internal teams (licensing, sales, finance) to forecast royalty expenses and licensing revenue based on sales trends and contractual terms.
Detect and resolve any discrepancies in royalty reports, data accuracy, or payment calculations through thorough audits and follow-ups.
Track and report on sales performance by license, product category, and region to support accurate forecasting and business decisions.
Maintain a centralized system for managing royalty statements, licensing contracts, amendments, and reporting documentation.
Ensure all reporting aligns with brand guidelines, usage rights, and industry regulations within the apparel and licensing space.
Support royalty audits and assist external licensors with required documentation and reporting detail.
Continuously identify and implement improvements to reporting processes and data handling workflows.

Hubstaff : Web and Desktop Apps, Hubstaff Tasks.
