Position Summary :

Mission : The mission of the Trade Data Analyst is to ensure accuracy, detect opportunities and monitor monetary impact pertaining to Free Trade Agreements

Reporting to the GTC Director, the Trade Data Analyst’s primary function is to ensure compliance with all applicable FTA (Free Trade Agreement) regulations, with a focus but not limited to, Regal Rexnord Mexico operations through the available qualification system / tool. Compliance oversight includes qualification and review process. The Trade Data Analyst will engage with Mexico Trade Compliance group and with site contacts to ensure proper data and enforce procedure, for successful and scalable FTA qualification.

This position will review qualification results periodically to detect opportunities and address anomalies. Analyst will also keep up to day metrics. The Trade Data Analyst will be part of the Global Trade Data Center of Excellence and will also work closely with the GTC Trade Data Manager, US Trade Manager / Manila Trade Compliance certificate of origin solicitation process, as well as internal and external customers pertaining to certificate of origin issuance related activities.

Major responsibilities include :

  • Work with the Mexico Prisma tool for yearly and ad-hoc FTA / USMCA qualification
  • Ensure proper process and procedure is in place
  • Review proper BOM data for successful qualification
  • Collaborate with issuing USMCA and other FTA certificates to customers as required
  • Collaborate in detecting FTA opportunities
  • Keep FTA metrics
  • Review USMCA and other FTA certificates that are issued by Regal Rexnord
  • Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) for FTA eligibility
  • Ensure current USMCA and Country of Origin data is maintained in available Customs systems in a timely and accurate manner
  • Handle country of origin questions and concerns
  • Ensure compliance with USMCA and other FTA regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by one over
  • Adhere and enforce Corporate policies and procedures.

Required Education / Experience / Skills :

The Trade Data Analyst must possess the following :

  • 3-5 years Trade Compliance experience in Harmonized Tariff Classification and Free Trade Agreements
  • U.S. Customs Regulations, Section / Chapter Notes, explanatory notes, CROSS rulings and Certificates of Origin
  • BS or BA degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, have a good written / verbal command of English and Spanish
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability and handling varied projects
  • Ability to work independently without daily oversight
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products; Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel
  • SAP, Oracle, Trade Automation, PRISMA experience preferred
  • Travel : Ability to Travel 30%Languages : English / Spanish

    Desired Qualifications :

    The following would enhance the performance of the Trade Data Analyst

  • BS or BA degree in International Trade or Logistics
  • Understanding of Mexican IMMEX regulations
  • Experience driving continuous improvement in processes and performance
