Turbomachinery Stress Analyst - Intern

Roles and Responsibilities

• Begin to understand technical criteria controlling each feature on the hardware.
• Obtain geometry data from UG and / or PDMS and convert it to FEA preprocessor formats.
• Build 3D interaction finite element models.
• Perform 3D finite element stress analysis.
• Perform analyses for static structures & rotating parts

Required Qualifications

• Studying Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering
• Fluent in English communication (written and spoken).
• Good background on Mechanical Design, Finite Element Theory and Fracture Mechanics
• Problem Solving Skills (Physical phenomena understanding).

Desired Characteristics

• Familiar with commercial FE solver (Ansys, Nastran, Abaqus).
• Familiar with commercial CAD software (UG).
• Good programming skills (C++, Fortran, Ruby).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
