- Responsibilities
- On a weekly basis analyze actual demand data from IBP, focusing on exceptions (outliers)
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare reports and forecast data for reviews, select the best statistical forecast models, solicit inputs, make recommendations, and evaluate forecast accuracy results.
- Adjust and firm the demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function
- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales and Marketing and Materials Management to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing projections
- Define, report and process designs that lead to process simplification, standardization, and enhanced business planning
- Ensure SAP is driving purchasing and manufacturing demand accurately to fulfill the forecast
- Tracking bookings and shipments to provide summarized documentation for review in SIOP meetings driving a consensus on sales, production / purchasing and inventory.
- Review and manage master data elements that drive the supply chain (Min / Max, Lead Times, Safety Stocks, etc.)
- Oversee Planning Parameters as changes in business conditions warrant (make-to-buy, factory responsibility, process lanes, inventory location management) in order to achieve supply chain efficiencies, service & inventory objectives.
- Leverage industry best planning practices to continually improve the process
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with sister company personnel to determine master data field settings in support of purchase / sale between companies while minimizing waste
- Collaborate across sites and departments to determine master data field settings when transferring manufacturing responsibility from one site to another.
- Identify audit criteria and direct the audit of master data fields to maintain data integrity for Light Industrial
- Required Skills and Experience
- 4-year degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent
- APICS CPIM certification OR commitment to achieve certification while employed is preferred
- 2 years Forecasting, Demand Planning, Production Planning or Supply Chain Management experience
- preferred oManufacturing environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management with internal and external business partners
- Analytical thinking - the ability to analyze and use critical thinking skills on a regular basis
- Creative thinking - the ability to think outside the box, coming up with new solutions to old problems
- Interpersonal skills - interacting with others is an integral part of formulating the forecast
- Strong computer skills required :
- MS Office, especially Excel (intermediate level) & Teams
- Power BI or other Reporting software
- PowerPoint
- Some travel (up to 20%) may be required.
- Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience (SD / PP / MM) preferred
- SAP IBP experience preferred
- Familiarity with statistics, applied math and statistical software
