About Muvr

Muvr is an innovative logistics and marketplace platform connecting customers with reliable movers and delivery professionals for everything from same-day deliveries to full-service relocations — think Uber or Grab, but for logistics. As we scale operations across new cities and high-volume use cases, we're investing in world-class safety, security, and compliance systems to protect users, drivers, and the company.

About the Role

We're hiring a mission-critical Compliance Officer to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Muvr's compliance, safety, insurance, and security standards. You'll work across departments (product, legal, operations, engineering) to maintain platform integrity, mitigate risk, and proactively identify vulnerabilities — all while using AI and automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual oversight.

This is a high-impact role requiring a strong understanding of operational risk, logistics safety, legal compliance, digital security, and customer protection in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage company-wide compliance frameworks covering :

Operational safety (e.g., driver conduct, delivery standards, incident reporting)

  • Data privacy and protection (GDPR, local laws)
  • Regulatory logistics and transport laws (city / state / national)
  • Platform security and internal access control (in partnership with Security / DevOps)
  • Insurance claims, dispute handling, and liability review
  • Implement and refine internal audit processes to monitor :
  • Onboarding, background checks, service-level compliance

  • Booking flows, payments, communications, and data logs
  • Incident response, safety violations, and customer complaints
  • Oversee insurance processes, documentation, and compliance with underwriters, including :
  • Claims tracking and coordination

  • Internal investigations
  • Support for policy renewals and coverage audits
  • Collaborate with Security Engineers to :
  • Define RBAC (role-based access control) protocols

  • Monitor audit logs and suspicious platform activity
  • Implement tools for real-time risk alerts and anomaly detection
  • Use AI-powered tools to :
  • Automate compliance workflows and risk scoring

  • Generate compliance reports and dashboards
  • Flag irregularities in behavior, access, or transaction patterns
  • Lead compliance training and enablement for internal teams, partners, and drivers using AI-assisted LMS, policy quizzes, and scenario walkthroughs
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, policies, and enforcement logs — ensuring historical traceability and real-time visibility
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal, Insurance Partners, Security, Ops, and Support to align compliance programs with business operations
  • Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years experience in Compliance, Risk, Security, or Safety roles in a high-growth environment (logistics, marketplaces, tech, fintech, or transport a plus)
  • Deep understanding of operational compliance, platform safety, data governance, and fraud mitigation
  • Familiarity with tools like Vanta, Drata, GRC software, or AI-driven compliance dashboards
  • Strong grasp of digital security practices, RBAC principles, and internal control systems
  • Experience working with insurance vendors, claims management, and loss prevention
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Legal, Product, Ops, Security, and Engineering
  • Proficient with project management and documentation tools (ClickUp, Google Workspace, Notion, etc.)
  • Bonus Points

  • Experience with AI tools for workflow automation, anomaly detection, or documentation (e.g., GPT, Codium, Aider, or similar)
  • Background in transport / logistics platforms or B2C marketplaces with regulatory exposure
  • Familiarity with audit standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI-DSS
  • Why Join Muvr?

  • Build the safety and compliance engine behind a high-growth, tech-enabled logistics platform
  • Work with top-tier teams across engineering, operations, and legal
  • Leverage AI and automation to modernize risk, compliance, and security at scale
  • Own a mission-critical function that protects users, ensures trust, and drives platform integrity
  • Fully remote, high-autonomy culture with clear goals and a strong sense of purpose
