Facilities Management / Maintenance is responsible for supporting the physical structure of a company facility.

This position is required to fill the permanent position of Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor at the NSK plant

What Facilities Management / Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Facilities Management / Maintenance is responsible for supporting the physical structure of a company facility.

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery. You will use computerized systems to oversee routine maintenance and organize repairs.

Maintenance engineers are also involved in control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance playing a vital role in the efficiency, development and production.

Maintenance engineers work with other professionals in order to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.

As a Supervisor, you will mentor and lead others promoting an environment of mentorship, collaboration, knowledge and accountability.

Accountabilities

Lead and Implement maintenance strategies, procedures and methods to optimize services and capabilities of existing and new equipment

Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues to maintain optimal levels of equipment functionality. Carry out routine scheduled preventive maintenance work.

Diagnosing breakdown problems

Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly

Carrying out quality inspections on jobs

Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment

Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs

Improving health and safety policies and procedures

Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines

Working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines

Qualifications

4 year degree preferably in electromechanical engineering or closely related field.

2+ years equipment maintenance experience in a lead role within a manufacturing environment.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Advanced proficiency in English (75%).

Technical level expertise in industrial building, health, safety and environmental codes, procedures, practices, and requirements.

Proficiency with PC office / business communications and programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).

Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

Proficiency in MP10 or Maximo is highly preferred

Ability to develop strategic relationships and cooperatively work with cross functional teams

Specialty : Mechatronics engineer

Minimum 6 years of verifiable experience

Minimum 6 years of supervision of staff

Advanced English, required

Experience in validating machinery, processes, and equipment of medical devices

Experience in software packages

Experience in TPM

management of preventive maintenance programs

project control management

knowledge of lean manufacturing tools

Knowledge of refrigeration equipment.

Knowledge of PLC, control, interpretation of electrical diagrams

Knowledge of electrical substations

Knowledge of compressor maintenance and operation / fire system / cafeteria equipment

Participation in automation processes
