CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and service-oriented professional for the position of Global Warehouse Manager, to be part of the Business Services Department.
The position will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, State of Mexico, near Mexico City.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and optimize warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and safety regulations. Manage receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations for efficiency.
- Develop and implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, prevent stockouts, and ensure accurate tracking. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Plan, forecast, and manage the warehouse operational budget. Track expenses, analyze variances, and implement corrective measures for cost efficiency.
- Oversee logistical processes including inbound and outbound shipping, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Collaborate with procurement and fleet teams to streamline processes.
- Develop, implement, and improve warehouse safety standards, ensuring compliance with EHS policies. Lead safety training and promote a safe working environment.
- Champion the adoption of warehouse management technologies (WMS, RFID, barcoding) to enhance accuracy, productivity, and reporting.
- Apply Lean methodologies and best practices to enhance warehouse productivity and service quality. Regularly review workflows and implement improvements.
- Hire, train, mentor, and supervise warehouse personnel, fostering a high-performing, continuous improvement-focused team.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field; master's preferred.Warehouse management certification desirable.Minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse / logistics management, preferably in an international setting.Proficiency in English (B2 or higher) and native Spanish.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and ERP systems (Dynamics AX preferred).Benefits :
